Does anyone know why every rapper, ABSOLUTELY MUST , have a phone call skit on their album ? Are rappers responsible for making the household phone as popular as it is today?

They do it to show their fans, that even though they are super-human rap machines, they are still regular people like you and me. Also, they want their fans to know that they aren't too cool to just sit on the couch and talk on the phone with their homeboy/shawty about the adventures of their previous weekend. Also, they like to let their fans know that they aren't above leaving voice mail messages about tricks and hoes and dolla dolla bills.
